Whether you’re a local looking for a luxury vacation or a cottager looking for the perfect summer home, TEND Services offers quaint rental properties for everyone, from families and friends to corporate groups and couples.

TEND Services has been providing concierge services in Muskoka and Collingwood for over five years, and as of 2021 the company also offers luxury rentals. Their dedicated team is made up of young entrepreneurs with personal and professional ties to the region. Andy Milovanovic, president and co-founder of TEND, grew up in a family cabin in Haliburton. He came to Muskoka in 2010 to teach wakeboarding and waterskiing before founding Muskoka Wake in 2011 and TEND Services in 2016. He knows the value of building memories at the cottage, which is why TEND aims to take the effort of experience at the cottage.

“We’re really trying to make the Muskoka experience a truly hands-off experience for those who want it,” Milovanovic said. “We’re trying to improve it by trying to add some level of convenience or some added value that people might not find if they had to do all the work, entertain themselves, and prepare for visitors, on their own. same.”

Milovanovic bought a cabin on Lake Muskoka in 2017 and has been renting it out ever since. The process gave him first-hand knowledge of the do’s and don’ts of property rentals. This, combined with the expertise of its team, has guided TEND in its mission to provide a seamless vacation experience.

Michelle Owens, Customer Experience Manager at TEND, said that based on feedback from their guests and customers, they have achieved this goal. A common theme among their reviews and comments is that their customer service is exceptional and sets them apart from other rental and concierge services.

“The goal we had in starting TEND was to provide a one-stop-shop for any customer at any time, whether it was a tenant, concierge customer, or tenant seeking our concierge,” Owens said. “We are happy to say that we were able to fulfill that and more!”

The TEND team encourages its tenants to request whatever they need, Owens said. They notify customers if they are unable to meet their requests, but they can almost always meet requests thanks to their skilled in-house staff and strong relationships with the local community and service providers.

“Thanks to COVID, it has also been a pleasure to bring experiences and services to customers’ homes and cabins,” said Owens. “Many were unable to travel overseas and it was a pleasure to be able to bring a ‘vacation’ home, or have them rent a local cabin through TEND in Muskoka, and allow them to truly experience a vacation. “

Rentals can range from a week-long stay to a summer getaway. TEND also offers perks for longer stays, including tax breaks, rate incentives, or even other services like private chefs or revival classes. Customers can also collect money via the Ontario stay tax creditwhich gives Ontario residents the opportunity to receive a tax credit of up to $400 for vacations in the province.

The TEND team is also looking to recruit more real estate partners this year. Chalet owners looking to rent can benefit from their expertise in property management as well as their wide range of concierge services, which are available to owners, tenants and other private clients.

“TEND is a service-based business first, so we offer everything from cleaning and property management to general maintenance,” Milovanovic said. “We offer private in-home chef and caterer events, as well as qualified service providers such as massage therapists, yoga instructors, personal trainers, and more.”

TEND’s number one priority is customer service, Milovanovic said, and they always seek to not only meet, but exceed the expectations of their clients and real estate partners. Muskoka is a place known for creating memories, so at TEND they strive to help their customers do just that.

“We’re really trying to improve the experience for cabin owners, whether it’s the private owner or the renter,” Milovanovic said. “We’re trying to improve that experience so people can really maximize everything Muskoka has to offer.
