New owners revamp North Beach St.

(February 17, 2022) New owners of the Brant Point Inn on North Beach Street, formerly run by Thea and Pete Kaizer, are renovating and expanding the property to add rooms, a separate listing area and a small swimming pool.

“We are not trying to be the white elephant or the Wauwinet. We want to be a special place for families to come,” said Michael Vaughan of Nauset Strategies, which bought the properties at 6 and 8 North Beach St. and 4 Dolphin Court with Anchor Line Partners for $10 million in August.

“What we’re really looking to do is bring it to 2022. Pete built it with his bare hands, and it’s a great space. I couldn’t move to Nantucket full time to run a hotel , so we brought in a group called Salt Hotels. They are great guys. They have two inns in Provincetown and another in the Hudson Valley.

The new hostel will be called The Brant. It received planning board approval on Monday.
