Sceneâ¦ The Homestead Inn-Thomas Henkelmann in the Belle Haven section of Greenwich has been sold. The popular restaurant and inn which was owned and operated by Therese Carroll and Chef Thomas Henkelmann over the past 20 years is a favorite among locals and celebrities, including the actress Susan lucci and her husband chef / producer Helmut Huber. The new owners, the McDevitt Company, a real estate development and brokerage firm, and the Glazer Family Office, founders of the Inn at GrayBarns on the Silvermine River in Norwalk, have announced plans to renovate the inn, restaurant and the fields. Henkelmann and his team will continue to operate the restaurant and hostel until New Year’s Day. The property will be closed for renovation after January 1.
The lowâ¦ The 60th Annual Greenwich Old Timers Athletic Association Awards Dinner will be held on November 18 at the Stamford Hilton. The event, which honors national and local athletes, will feature an all-you-can-eat cocktail, a sports raffle and a silent auction. This year’s national winners are two-time Super Bowl champion and XXV MVP Ottis Anderson and 2004 Stanley Cup Champion and Hockey Hall of Fame Member Martin Saint-Louis.
