Gooseneck Hospitality Needs Your Help To Select New ‘Book By Donation’ Charities – Scout Magazine

Gooseneck Hospitality products

Vancouver, BC | Vancouver! Thank you for joining us in making a positive impact on our local communities by participating in the “Book by Donation” program. Its continued success warms our hearts and we have received many positive comments from the charities, initiatives and organizations involved.

For those unfamiliar with the program, all of our Gooseneck restaurants (Bufala, Bells and Whistles, Lucky Taco) accept reservations exclusively by donation through OpenTable. To secure a reservation, we ask for a small fee of $5 per person, with 100% of donations going to both initiatives being presented at the time of reservation. We select two organizations per restaurant, and their donation period lasts six months at a time!

We could use your help to select the next two organizations featured in each restaurant! We plan to refresh recipients for all of our restaurants in early June and would love to hear your feedback on who should be selected. Is there a local initiative that is close to your heart and that has a positive impact on your community? If so, please reach out to let us know by leaving a comment here, tagging or DMing us on social media, or emailing us (jonathan [@] and we’ll check them out!

We try to focus on small, hyper-local organizations that are making a difference in Metro Vancouver, but are open to larger organizations if their impact is felt locally. Some of the initiatives we have previously worked with include:

Downtown Eastside Women’s Center
The Hogan’s Alley Society
Red Fox Healthy Living Society
HUA Foundation
No 9 to 5
Fresh for Families Fund
Indian Residential School Survivor Society
The Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities of the North Shore
Avalon Recovery Society
Native Friendship Society of Vancouver

We look forward to hearing your suggestions and appreciate your help with this program!
