JAMMU, May 1: J&K BSP held a one day conference at Kote (Bhalwal) village here today.
Dr. Avtar Singh Karimpuri, former MP and Coordinator of BSP J&K was the chief guest on this occasion along with Som Raj Majotra, Chairman of J&K BSP.
The issues of rising prices, particularly of petroleum products and the electricity and water crisis at J&K were discussed.
Speakers on this occasion claimed that the BJP has no sympathy for ordinary people who feel cheated by the false promises of the current government.
They said that the current government is not interested in alleviating the problems of the population.
The BSP leaders called on the people to follow the philosophy of Dr. BR Ambedkar and Kanshi Ram, who gave their whole lives for the establishment of a democratic system and the guarantee of equal rights to all citizens.
They said the implementation of the 27% OBC reservation in J&K has been pending since 1993, while the EWS reservation was implemented within a week.
BSP leaders argued for a reservation to each section of society on the proportion of its population.
They said the reservation would be streamlined if the BSP comes to power in the future.
The program was organized by Charanjeet Chargotra, Vice President along with Kuldeep Chalotra, Chairman of the Bhaichara Committee, Kartar Gandhi and others.
